Il The Museum of Rural Life and Old Crafts is located within the educational farm "Feudo Ron Alfre", in a corner of its original environment, dating from the fifteenth century, in the Piana del Sele and especially where the undisputed Lago Grande once reigned, also called Lago d'Evoli. The museum documents the culture and the country life with tools and work tools, objects used in everyday life and household, which now makes it possible to observe the many original artifacts and reconstructions of tools and equipment for the cultivation of fields and wetlands around the lake. A journey in time that tells the the traditions and the identity of agricultural land. There is also a reconstruction of the basement of the farmer and his kitchen with all its furnishings.
The Feudo Ron Alfrè is an educational farm that stretches over an area of 10,000 square meters. It aims for full implementation of a project with innovative educational tourism to recover the culture linked to the territory, working crops once as spelled, oats, sorghum, lupins, flax to build fishing nets, and the manuals arts for the interplay of the marsh grasses to build brooms, bags, slippers, shoes, hats, baskets. Also within the area it is possible to visit a port-berthing of the Roman period, with the reconstruction of the old boats and fishing techniques, the amazing life that is in the water with fish, eels, waterfowl. The didactic farm host many cultural events throughout the year along with a permanent cartographic exposition.
